Helping others understand the benefits of
having proper nutrition and mental health

Hello everyone, my name is Milin Kumar, and I am a Senior at Casady School in Oklahoma City.

Hello and thank you for visiting my web page. My name is Milin and I hope I can influence you to change your life. My interest in nutrition and health began due to my journey of being premature. I was born at 27 weeks, weighed 1 pound and 8 ounces. My early childhood was centered around food.

During my Sophomore year of high school, I became really invested in working out and trying to become healthier. This led to me learning about nutrition, creating a blog about nutritional advice and what I eat on some of the most important days of my life.

In my Junior year of high school I became a part of the executive board of the Psychology Club at my school.  I learned about how mental health is a crucial part of staying healthy that is often overlooked. I then became president of the Psychology Club at the end of my Junior Year,  in order to use this club as a platform to inform my peers on how to maintain good mental health.

My non-profit, “Ambassador of Happiness”, was formed because I wanted to create something that would help the less fortunate. This realization, coupled with my passion for nutrition, inspired me to create a non-profit organization based on helping underprivileged kids get access to quality nutrition. 

Ambassador of Happiness was inspired by my passion for nutrition and helping others. I created this non-profit during the Summer of my Senior year.

I am currently working toward getting underprivileged kids proper nutrition. This includes baby formula, food, and bottles.

So far, I have been able to donate 2,000 diapers to the Infant Crisis Center, and I am working to get at least $5,000 in donations raised by September.

Bridging the gap between poor nutrition and mental health

Proper Nutrition:
Having adequate nutrition is crucial because the more robust an individual's physique becomes, the more empowered they are. When someone consumes the appropriate foods and maintains proper fluid intake, they can enjoy a multitude of advantages. A few of these advantages might encompass enhanced bone and muscle strength, as well as a more resilient heart. Optimal nutrition empowers individuals to excel in their fitness endeavors and consequently, manifest the most potent rendition of themselves.

Good Mental Health:
Optimal mental well-being enables individuals to embrace the positive aspects of life, facilitating the enjoyment of life to its utmost. Possessing sound mental health equips individuals with the capacity to effectively navigate stress and challenging life circumstances that are universally experienced. A favorable mental equilibrium enhances cognitive clarity and fosters improved decision-making. Lastly, a state of contented mental well-being elevates mood and bolsters self-esteem.

Proper Nutrition & Good Mental Health:
Mistakes are inherent to all of us, and acknowledging them is a natural part of our journey. The capacity for self-improvement remains within our grasp. Nurturing both these essential facets of our existence empowers us to evolve into our most refined selves, enabling us to lead lives of optimal fulfillment.
